E-scrap recycling in Moosup, CT
Computers, monitors, cables, phones and the rest of the tech in your storage room, assessed by trained technicians and bought at a fair offer.
Chapter 01
The electronics the yard takes in
Winco Scrap Metal & Container takes desktops, laptops and mainframes, along with peripherals, keyboards and mice, cables and hubs. Sound and video equipment comes in too.
Monitors are welcome in every type: LCD, LED, plasma and a CRT monitor from the back of the storage room. Telecom devices count as well, including cell phones and PDAs.
Whether you have one laptop or a decade's worth of accumulated electronics, the yard at 24 Ward Ave in Moosup can take it.

How e-scrap is assessed at the yard
Bring the equipment to the facility and trained technicians assess its value and make you a fair offer. The yard also runs a 35-foot truck scale on site, so a single modem and a pickup bed of old towers are both handled without fuss.
Keeping electronics out of landfills is part of the point. A box of dead keyboards and tangled cables has real value as scrap, and it stops cluttering the shed.
Winco has been family and locally owned since 1997, and the people at the scale are used to first-timers with a carload of old gear.
Chapter 03
Getting your devices ready to drop off
As general advice, remove or wipe your own hard drives and clear personal data from phones and laptops before you bring them. The yard does not list data wiping as a service, so that part is yours to handle.
Group like with like: monitors together, cables in a bag, phones in a box. It makes the assessment quicker and the offer easier to explain.
Questions about a particular item? Call (860) 230-0552 or pull in Monday to Friday 8 to 5, or Saturday 8 to 2. Tell the yard roughly what you have and how much of it.

A decade of gear doesn’t need sorting into a perfect pile first. Bring it as it is, and the yard will go through it with you.
